Abstract: The Federal Institute of Rondônia (IFRO) stands out as a pioneer in implementing technological mediation in education, particularly in remote regions of the Amazon, such as riverside, indigenous, and rural communities. IFRO’s model combines hybrid teaching, satellite transmission, and digital platforms to overcome geographic and social barriers, ensuring equitable access to vocational education. and pedagogy that integrates technology with hands-on projects, such as agribusinesses entrepreneurship. Despite progress, challenges persist, including precarious infrastructure (lack of stable internet) and the need for teacher training. IFRO responds with creative solutions, such as recorded classes on YouTube (71,000 subscribers) and partnerships with Sebrae. Its success rests on three pillars: accessible technology, active pedagogy (solving real-world problems), and social commitment (respecting local cultures). The article also discusses the legislative context of Distance Education (EAD) in Brazil, citing Law 10.172/2001 (National Education Plan - PNE) and Decree 2.494/1998, which recognize EAD as a strategy to democratize education. Scholars like Fragale (2003) argue that technological mediation requires more than digital tools: it demands critical teacher training and sustainable public policies.
