Alternatives aimed at value proposition have been focused on the academic environment, as well as in the business field. Thus, this work develops existing concepts in the literature about business process management, presenting the parts that integrate it and explaining how the Business Model Canvas tool works. The objective was to evaluate its implementation in the management processes in different sectors of Alphatec, an inspection and repair services provider for drilling risers, operating in segments of the oil and gas industry since its foundation in 1993. This work is based on criteria and standards of quantitative and qualitative research, developed through an action-research, from meetings, with managers and collaborators who acted, in an active way, intervening and transforming the process of building the business model of the organization. To obtain the data, questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentary analysis were used, in order to identify the implementation conditions, as well as the benefits generated. Thus, it was verified the applicability of Canvas as a tool to help in the proposition of value in face of the need to contextualize it to the reality of the company. The results identified were guidelines for improvement actions, providing management with conditions to develop measures for analysis, and reorganization of practices. For the written elaboration, we used direct and indirect quotes from several authors, including Ostewalder: Pigneur (2011), Timmers (1998).
