Abstract

This article aims to implement actions of agile and lean management in the warehouse environment of a Public University. In the research method, the Value Stream Mapping tool, 5S, 5W1H and A3 report were applied to investigate the current situation, identify internal procedures, current practices and establish an action plan for future implementations. As a result, the ordering of the warehouse environment was obtained with the proper location and identification of materials in stock, the reactivation of a bathroom for People with Special Needs, the definition of inventory control methods and the identification and disposal of unserviceable materials . With these changes, it was possible to structure and institute warehouse management, as well as to initiate a culture of measuring and controlling items.
